There's no better way to learn about wine than tasting comparatively, talking about it while you're tasting it ("so that's why this wine tastes different than that!"), and hearing about the wine's background. (Plus, it's the most fun you'll ever have learning something.)

RosÚ-Palooza Part 1 - Tuesday, April 4 (MPM) & Wednesday, April 5 (Shorewood)
Drop in between 5 - 7:30 p.m. at MPM on Tuesday or 5 - 9 p.m. at Shorewood on Wednesday

And if you're not sure which rosÚ to get, here's your chance to try before you buy! For this week's tasting we'll be opening up scads of rosÚ for you to try, at just $1, $2, or $3 per sample. Want to try 5? No problem. 10? You got it. 15? Well, we might have to cut you off. Hurray for rosÚ!

Old World / New World Comparison: Whites - Tuesday, April 18 (MPM) & Wednesday, April 19 (Shorewood)
Seatings at 6 & 7:30 p.m. at MPM; 6 & 8 p.m. at Shorewood
Wines from the Old World (i.e., Europe) are often generalized as being more restrained, savory, nuanced, less fruit-forward, and higher in acid and lower in alcohol compared to their New World counterparts. Is this still the case? For this tasting we'll explore three sets of white wines focusing on different varietals, with an Old World and a New World wine for each set. Join us for an informative and delicious comparison tasting! Wines TBD.

Cost of the tasting TBD. Seatings are at 6 and 7:30 p.m. at MPM and 6 & 8 p.m. at Shorewood. RSVPs are required; a credit card is required to secure your reservation. (If you call to cancel by 2 p.m. the day of the tasting, your card will not be charged. If you are on the wait list, we'll notify you by 2 p.m. if space has become available.) Thief Wine's Spring Grand Tasting - Saturday, April 29 (MPM)
Thief Wine is thrilled to present our annual Spring Grand Tasting, a fantastic walk-around tasting featuring more than 120 delicious and distinctive fine wines from around the world, on Saturday, April 29. All wines will be selected by Thief Wine and reflect our focus of artisanal, high-value, terroir-driven selections (i.e., not the mass-production wines you see at most large wine tastings), with retail prices ranging from $15-$50 per bottle. Live music, light appetizers, and your own Riedel wine glass to keep are included!

There are two ticket levels, and both are all-inclusive - once you get a glass, you're welcome to sample whatever you'd like. Tickets are now on sale - get yours today!

General Admission ($65, tax included) includes admission from 5:15 - 7:30 p.m., with the chance to sample and enjoy the 120+ wines, grouped among roughly 16 tables. Tickets are limited to 125. It's pretty awesome.

Reserve Level ($95, tax included) includes earlier access to the event, with entry at 3:30 p.m., a more intimate experience (tickets are limited to 75), and 15+ additional, higher-end wines - in addition to the wines that will be poured throughout the entire event, each pouring station will have an additional luxury-level wine that they will be pouring for the Reserve Level only. General Admission event hours are included in the Reserve Level ticket. Even more awesome.
