There's no better way to learn about wine than tasting comparatively, talking about it while you're tasting it ("so that's why this wine tastes different than that!"), and hearing about the wine's background. (Plus, it's the most fun you'll ever have learning something.)

Seatings at 6 & 7:30 p.m. at MPM; 6 & 8 p.m. at Shorewood
Nebbiolo is one of the wine world's most haunting grapes - seductive, finicky (only growing well in one corner of Italy), often difficult in youth, yet producing wines that rank with the world's best over time. With a rare combination of high acidity and grippy tannins along with notes of cherries, tar, and rose petal, the grape demands attention. We'll taste through several different delicious examples of the varietal, ranging from entry-level versions up through Barbaresco and Barolo. Wines TBD.
