There's no better way to learn about wine than tasting comparatively, talking about it while you're tasting it ("so that's why this wine tastes different than that!"), and hearing about the wine's background. (Plus, it's the most fun you'll ever have learning something.)

Exploring Greek Wines - Tuesday, February 20 (MPM), and Wednesday, February 21 (Shorewood)

In our almost ten years of Thief Wine's existence, we've never done a tasting focused on the wines of Greece! So, let's fix that. Greece has one of the oldest wine cultures in the world and is still exceptionally vibrant, producing distinctive white and red wines from indigenous grapes such as Assyrtiko, Moschofilero, Aghiorgitiko, and more. Please join us to discover these grapes and the varied wine regions of this historic wine country. The wines will be:

  • Domaine Skouras 2016 Moscofilero, Peloponnese ($17.95)
  • Santo 2016 Assyrtiko, Santorini ($18.95)
  • Estate Argyros 2016 Aidani, Cyclades ($32.95)
  • Domaine Spiropoulos 2013 "Red Stag" Agiorgitiko, Peloponnese ($19.95)
  • Domaine Skouras 2013 "Megas Oeonos", Peloponnese ($29.95)
  • Domaine Karydas 2013 Xinomavro, Naoussa ($29.95)
